Wands received a large overhaul in the 0.3.0 update and a multitude of balance changes since. The player gets to pick from multiple armor abilities, which no longer cost health, only have cooldown between uses and can be greatly improved with talents. Armor has received a substantial buff though, becoming more powerful and much more consistent. Unlike with other equipment categories no new armor items have been added.
